This Turkey webcam is located in the sea resort Didim. This resort for many reasons is becoming increasingly popular with tourists, because the city is located in a very picturesque area on the coast of the clean Aegean Sea. Probably the only drawback of this resort for some is the lack of its own airport. Therefore, those tourists who arrive in Turkey for a holiday in Didim use the nearest international airport in Izmir (about 100 km) or Bodrum airport (about 80 kilometers by road). On the other hand, the absence of airplanes makes the rest more quiet and relaxed, and the roads in Turkey are very beautiful and even the trip from the airport is quite fascinating.
Like Turkey’s first webcam in the Didim resort, the second is also located near the main beach of this resort. Altinkum beach is Didim’s pride, because in Turkish this name means “golden sand”. It should be noted that it was not by chance that the beach received such a name: the sand on Altinkum beach is small and golden, which very much resembles real golden sand. The resort Didim is located on the shores of the Aegean Sea, which is one of the cleanest and most transparent on the planet. Therefore, it is not surprising that the main beach of the Didim resort, which is visible on the left in the webcam playback window, was marked with the Blue Flag – a symbol of cleanliness and a favorable environmental situation.
On the left in the webcam playback window, you can see that the seabed on Altynkum beach is flat and the water depth is small. Therefore, both adult tourists and families with children can safely rest at the resort. There is a sufficient amount of water entertainment, there are places for renting boats, various water equipment, beach umbrellas and sun loungers. In the evening, the embankment becomes the main place for walks and entertainment. Here tourists can find many cafes, restaurants and nightclubs. Despite the fact that there are a little more than 40 thousand people in the city, in the summer months there are much more people living here and nobody will be bored.
